"Pomegranate" produced by Anahid Nazarian and directed by Kraig Kuzirian is a film about two cousins from Beirut who are separated as boys and in a quest to find their eccentric, gifted poet Grandfather, come to reunite 17 years later in Los Angeles. The Film stars Michael Goorjian, James Martin and Krikor Satamian. Talia Shire from "The Godfather" also stars in the Film. The music composed and performed by John Bilezikjian features the Oud as the main instrument with regard to the music. The Film won the Best Feature Award and the Best of Show award at the Missouri Film Festival. Pomegranate was entered in the Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It was shown in Armenia at the Yerevan International Film Festival and in Italy at the Salento Film Festival. At the Italian Film presentation it won the City of Tricase Award. |
